  1. A solid dispensational commentary on Daniel. Gets into enough history and background to be very helpful, but not so much detail to get bogged down. He sticks to his dispensational way of thinking throughout – does not give other ways of understanding the book. I read through it as one of my main commentaries when I studied for my Daniel series.

  2. I found this to be an excellent commentary. I’ve read it at least twice. Once in grad school and the other time as our small group studied Daniel.

Particularly useful was the historical background to both Daniel’s time and the prophecies that have already been fulfilled.

The brevity of the book was an overall advantage for my purposes, however, more in depth study would require a longer work.
